House and Building Inspection
A Buyer’s Choice
provides the following Services:
Seller’s Pre-Sale Inspection
A pre-sale inspection ensures there are no issues that could later cause delays, reduce the sale price or even lead to a loss of sale.
The reports provided by A Buyer’s Choice House Inspections are transferable.
Buyer’s Pre-Purchase Inspection
The House Inspection ensures that you know whether or not the home you are buying is safe and sound. An important part of the inspection is checking for dampness, which can lead to mold or rot. Likewise faulty or incorrect wiring and the presence of insects or rodents can lead to issues which may cause unexpected and costly delays.
A comprehensive Report of all inside and outside aspects of the house will increase your chances of getting a mortgage.
Make sure that the house is checked for Meth/’P’ contamination – another service by ‘A Buyer’s Choice’. Testing can be done in addition to your normal House Inspection.
Get a WoF (Warrant of Fitness) for your home and keep abreast of any issues needing attention by having your home/building inspected every 5 years.
Pre & Post Renovation Inspection
It is highly recommended to get a house inspection before planning a major renovation. It will help you to prioritise the order in which to carry out the work in response to any issues discovered.
After renovating, it is equally important to check that all work has been carried out correctly – for instance does the moisture content of the materials used comply with the standard?
